Caroline Grace Ouimet passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the NYS Veterans Home in Oxford, NY. She was born on June 5, 1937, to parents Howard & Bessie Lent in Bainbridge, NY. She married Donald "Andy" Ouimet on February 11, 1956, in Oneonta, NY. Together, they raised three children: Donald Andre Jr (Kathleen), Michael (Lisa) and Matthew (Kathleen). She is survived by her children, seven grandchildren; Heather McBee (Ryan), Christopher Ouimet (Denise), Nicole Drazdowsky (Jim), Andrew Ouimet (Lori), Aimee Angle (Jameson), Matthew Ouimet (Sarah), and Claire Lancaster (Mitch)and thirteen great grandchildren: Jackson, Olivia, and Emerson McBee, Charlotte and Sydney Ouimet, Elliana and James Ouimet, Emma Lancaster, Lukas and Sophia Drazdowsky, Reagan and Charlotte Angle, and Aislyn Ouimet. She is also survived by her sisters: Nancy Tompkins and Florence Higbie (Don), sister-in-law, Duffy Lent, and numerous nieces and nephews. Caroline was predeceased by her parents, her sister, Shirley Gross, brother Howard Lent, and brother-in-law Joe Tompkins.

Caroline grew up in Wells Bridge, NY. She attended Otego High School and graduated in 1955. After marriage, she joined her husband in Germany for two years, while he served in the US Army. Returning to New York, she made her home in Otego before eventually settling in Unadilla, where she lived for many years. She worked as a cashier first for Victory Markets, then Great American in both Unadilla and Sidney. She was a lifelong member of St. Ambrose and Sacred Heart Catholic churches.

Known for her kindness and gentle manner, Caroline will be remembered for her quiet strength and her enduring love for her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were a source of deep pride and happiness for her. She leaves behind a legacy of family, connection, and love that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Graveside services will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Otego, NY in the spring.
