William E. Jordan IV Obituary

William E. Jordan IV, better known as 'Jordan', 51, of Sidney Center, NY, passed away on December 9, 2025 in Cooperstown.


William was born in Montgomery, Alabama to William E. Jordan III and Mary Montoya Knighton on December 21, 1973. He went to high school at Robert E. Lee. He worked as a tow truck driver for B&R Towing and Recovery in Montgomery for a number of years before moving to New York. He enjoyed all kinds of gadgets and electronics, and fixed and repaired computers. He was a diehard fan of Alabama Crimson Tide Football (Roll Tide) and never missed a game on TV, and was a collector of Nike sneakers. Jordan had many friends in the area and on nice days would ride his scooter around and make his rounds to say hello or enjoy the beautiful day.


Jordan was predeceased by his parents, William and Mary and siblings, Kristopher and Naomi Roberts.


He is survived by his sister, Stefanie Roberts of Montgomery, AL; daughters, Heather Ramirez of Wetumpka, AL and Brittany Jordan of Montgomery, AL; granddaughter, Ariana Hiebert, and grandson, Levi Carter Ramirez.


He will also be missed by his extended family, David and Jenneen Bush of Sidney Center, Jackie and Omar Afify of SC, Megan Stafford, Kyle Laurinaitis of Sidney, Shannon Stafford, Mike DeGroat of Bainbridge, and Matthew Stafford of Sidney Center, and several nieces and nephews, that all called him family.


Memorial donations may be made to the Delaware Valley Humane Society, PO Box 182 Sidney, NY 13838.


There will be no services at this time. A celebration of life for Jordan will be held in the spring and announced at a later date.
