Obituary of Charlene Ruth Mallette

Charlene Ruth Mallette of Southbury, CT passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025. Born in Middlebury, Vermont on August 25, 1947, to Francis and Constance Bluto, Charlene, known as Ruthie to her family, was the second eldest of 8 children. She married the man who would become the father of her children, Richard Mallette, in 1964 and devoted her life to her family. She loved Elvis, angels, and Salmon Pea Wiggle. Charlene leaves behind her beloved sons Richard, Raymond, Larry, Steven, and Timothy; five daughters-in-law; fourteen grandchildren; one adored great-granddaughter; and her siblings — five sisters and a brother — along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister and her loving granddaughter, Samantha. A memorial service will be held at the Sidney New York Elks Lodge on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 5:00pm. Donations may be made in Charlene's memory to the Sidney Veterans Memorial Park, in remembrance of her father who proudly served in the United States military. Though she did not tend a garden, Charlene's love for her family and friends grew abundantly and will continue to bloom in their hearts forever.
