Stephen L. Cox, "Coxy", 65, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2025.

He was born in Oneonta, NY to Alvin and Jean Cox on January 13, 1960.

Stephen was predeceased by his parents and brother, Roger Cox.

He is survived by his daughter, Richelle Cox, and son, David Mondore, and multiple amazing grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Stephen worked most of his life as an Injection Molder, Electrician, Bouncer and finally a Delivery Driver.

He was truly a legendary man who loved and cared for everyone and would do whatever he could to help: money, advice, food, clothing, a safe place, the list could go on forever. He left an everlasting impression on everyone he met.

His passion for music, life, was epic; he lived every day to hear and live the sounds of life.

There will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27th from 2:00 to 7:00pm at the Sidney American Legion, 22 Union Street, Sidney. Coxy loved homemade food, so please bring a dish to pass. Flowers may be sent to the Legion. Donations in his memory may be directed to a local food bank, or plant a tree in his name.
