Lureene C. Hill Obituary

Lureene Catherine Hill unexpectedly went to be with our Lord and Savior on August 16, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1961 in Sidney, NY to George and Janet Sibley of Masonville.

Lureene (Renie) was predeceased by her Mother and Father, and her daughter, Elizabeth Hill.

She is survived by: her sister, Trisha (Bill) Shrader; her husband of 38 years, Jerry Hill; children: Patrisha (Chris) Prentice, Roger (Stephanie) Hill, George Hill (Kate, Bennett, Oakley); gandchildren: Chris, Jaden, Jeremiah, Catherine, Kalob, Izabella and Bennett; Lots of family and friends; cousin Glenda Schrantz, and many Aunts and Uncles.

Renie was raised on her family's dairy farm in Masonville on Parker Hollow Road, where she spent her days doing farm chores and playing in the creek.

From a young age, Lureene had a love for music and art. She would perform on stage alongside her mother, Janet and grandmother, Genevieve Souls, to sing and yodel old Country western songs starting at age four on local television. Lureene could always brighten anyone's day and never hesitated to help anyone in need.

She gave purely from the heart with all she did, could cook a meal from scratch out of nothing or crochet anything imaginable. Lureene loved her family more than anything; spending time with her children and grandchildren was her favorite pastime. She had a fond love of nature and outdoors and also loved sitting near the water. Mom will be dearly missed and will live on through the memories of her loved ones.

A celebration will be planned at a later date.
