Kathy S. Hoyt Obituary

Oxford – With heavy hearts, yet comforted by her peace, we announce the passing of our mother, Kathy Hoyt.

Kathy began her life journey on April 9th, 1950, in Jefferson as the only child to Hugh and Betty Stowe. Kathy enjoyed watching game shows, making jewelry, meeting new people, visiting her family, and making memories with her grandchildren. Sadly, Kathy left this earth on June 15th, 2025, surrounded by her family, after battling a short illness.

Kathy is leaving behind her husband Tom Hoyt; her children, Susan Burgher, Kim (Art) Trost, and William Sprague; her daughter in love, Brandi Sprague; the pride and joys of her life, her grandchildren, Zeke, Destinee, Beckham, Caidence, Gavin, Jenavieve, Hayden, Mikayla, Erika, Destiny, and Wren; and Ed (Karen) Hoyt.

She is joined in Heaven with her parents, Hugh and Betty Stowe; her grandson, Noah Sprague, and her second husband, Lawrence Burgher.

A celebration of life will be held on July 19th, at 11 am, at the First Baptist Church in Delhi, NY. Kathy enjoyed fellowshipping and spending time together so there will be a small reception to follow. Everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass.
