Obituary of Neso A. Wessels

Neso A. Wessels 84 of Rt. 7 Unadilla, NY passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025. Neso was born on September 29, 1940, in Sidney NY, to Virginia (Reed) Wessels and Neso D. Wessels He was predeceased by his Parents, and Siblings, Edward and Helene Wessels, and his Wife Carol Ann Wessels. Neso attended Sidney Central School, worked in the family flower business, served in the United States Army, before going into business for himself. Neso was an Excavator and Well Driller and Co-Owned Star Well Drilling for over 25 years with his wife Carol Wessels. Neso was an avid photographer throughout his life and during his retirement traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada capturing beautiful scenery and memories we all shared. He and our mother had many friends within the community and especially at their church Gateway Alliance in Sidney NY where he became saved and was a member until his recent passing. Neso in total had 6 Children: Andrea Bentley, Gregg Pinney (wife Lisa), Spencer Pinney (wife Deryle). By a prior marriage he had Darcy, Shan and Jason Wessels who he loved and unfortunately never got to know. Neso was the beloved Grandfather of Carrie Anne Bentley, Gregg Pinney Jr. (wife Kim), Bethenie (Pinney) Hrehor (husband Stephen), Miah (Bentley) Bartlett (husband Joseph), Benjamin Pinney and Chloe Pinney. as well as the beloved Great-grandfather of: Samuel and Gideon Bentley, Lilly and Hudson Pinney, Theodore, Eleanore and Guinevere Hrehor, and River and Atlas Bartlett. He also loved and enjoyed his Nieces and Nephew; Gretchen, Michelle and Brent Wessels and was grateful for every moment they spent with him. Neso was a Christian and loved his family, and his presence in our lives will be dearly missed. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Gateway Alliance Church, 6 Circle Dr. Sidney, NY 13838. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery, East Main Street Sidney, NY Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney, NY
