Obituary of Donald F. Bye

Donald F. Bye, age 77, a beloved family member and figure of Sidney, New York, sadly left our world on May 4, 2025. After a life richly lived in service and kindness he was known for his unwavering dedication with friends of the Bill W. community. Donald was a beacon of light and hope amongst his family and friends. Touching so many lives through his devotion and commitment within AA. Donald loved to laugh, joke, and quote the numerous teachings of Bill W. Donald was a retired New York City Steamfitter for the Staten Island Ferry. He enjoyed spending winters at his summer residence in Florida. Donald was one of five brothers, three of whom are deceased William Bye, Thomas Bye, Robert Bye and the eldest Frank Bye still of this world. Donald leaves behind his twelve nieces and nephews: Frank Bye, Susan Bye, Carol Vickery, Joseph Bye, Mary Murphy, Thomas Bye, Steven Bye, Daniel Bye, Richard Bye, Christopher Bye, Regina Bye, Robert Bye, Jr. , and Raymond Bye, who is no longer with us.
