Obituary of Margaret E. Schaub
Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our mother Margaret Elizabeth Schaub at the age of 72 in her home in Mt. Upton, NY, to her battle with Leukemia on April 25,2025 at 7:45pm surrounded by her family and friends in her final moments.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband William G. Schaub Jr, brother Charles McAnulty, son Richard Gregory Schaub, granddaughter, Shauna Astalos and grandson, Michael Muniz.
Margaret was born in Binghamton, NY on December 8, 1952. Her parents were Mary Evelyn Villnave and Robert Allison McAnulty. She graduated from Sidney in 1972. Margaret was a stay-at-home mom to eight children and her brother whom she raised. Margaret loved baking, crocheting, listening to country music and watching her hummingbirds as her chimes made the most beautiful music on her porch. Most importantly she loved time spent with her family and loved ones. Most people knew her as Peggy because she was not to fond of her name.
Her strength and love were beyond what any one of us could describe. We could never tell mom we loved her without her saying I Love you more, I win!
Margaret is survived by daughter, Tonya Mclaughin and partner Russell Frankenfield of Lehighton, PA; son, Gregory Schaub and Wife Jennifer Schaub of Mt. Upton NY; son, Thomas.
