Debra Arotsky, 69, passed away unexpectedly on March 17, 2025.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Al Arotsky, and children: Amanda (Joseph) Winans, Alan (April) McFee, Sara (Todd) Strong, Rebecca Arotsky (Will Vidler), and Sam Arotsky. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy: Kaili and Richard Bryant Fuller, Jalyn and Jayce Winans, Colden and Macy McFee, Katerina and Lorelei Strong, Judson, Collin, Hayden and Finley Vidler, and Averi and Quinn Arotsky. She is also survived by many numerous extended family and friends, and beloved horse Trevor, and dogs Tanner and Trixie.

She was predeceased by her parents, Don and Mimi Field, brother Don Field Jr., daughter Joni Fuller, and son-in-law, Richard Fuller.

Debbie was from and spent her life in Bainbridge NY. She grew up on the dairy farm where she learned, and enjoyed, the value of hard work. She raised her family the way she was raised. While her children were young, Deb painted numerous signs around the Bainbridge area for local businesses. She later went on to become employed by Chenango County, the Oxford Veteran's Home and the New York State Insurance Fund until she retired.

Debbie was a proud alumni of the Bainbridge-Guilford Class of 1974 and enjoyed spending time with, and planning, upcoming school reunions with former classmates. She went on several girls' outings with her longtime friends. She had several crafting hobbies including sewing group and creating homemade cards. Above all else, Debbie enjoyed family activities; camping, especially at Wellesley Island, with her husband and dogs; reading by the river; swimming in the backyard pool; and having the grandkids over for pool days, play dates and sleepovers. Every single one of her grandkids was special and were the light of her life. She loved attending their sporting events, horse shows, dance recitals and any other activities. She could often be found on the sidelines taking photos during sporting events and all family get-togethers (the kids affectionately referred to her as the "Paparotsky").

Family and friends are invited to call Thursday March 20th, from 5:00-7:00pm at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney. A private graveside service will be held at the family's convenience.
