Sandra Lee Palmer (Hard) (Barnhart)
Sandy passed away peacefully on March 7, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1944, in Sidney to Keith and Woody (Luela) Hard. Sandy was the oldest of 4 girls. She graduated from Sidney school and married Ken Barnhart in 1965. They had two boys Roger and Brian Barnhart, and "almost adopted" son, Randy Palmatier. After Ken's passing in 1975, Sandy remarried Jake Palmer in 1983. Sandy had several jobs, Borden's in Bainbridge, Keith Clark, Amphenol, Champion, and McDonalds in Sidney. She spent a lot of time raising her children and stepchildren. Sandy loved Bingo and going to the casino-where she would never spend much money! Sandy and Jake knew where the best buffets were.
Sandy knew a lot of people, and even if she didn't know them, she would strike up a conversation. Often, we would ask - "Who is that?" and Sandy would reply "I don't know. I just met them."
Sandy loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping with her sisters and friends, and watching sports, especially boxing.
Sandy is survived by sons: Roger (Peggy) Barnhart and Brian Barnhart; stepdaughters: Laurie (Steve) Eldridge, Brenda (Ron) Palmer, Betsy (Brian) Dean; "almost adopted" son, Randy (Kelly) Palmatier; grandchildren: Jared (Callie) Barnhart, Lindsey (Francis) Barnhart, Tim (Liza)Walts, Thomas (Katelyn) Eldridge, Dustin (Allie) Eldridge, Tessa (Andrew) Pickering, Kodye Brown, and Taylor, Megan and Thomas Palmatier.
