Michael Terebo Obituary

Michael A Terebo, 84, peacefully passed away Saturday morning, February 8, 2025. He was the son of Michael T and Billie (Wilhelmiena) Terebo. He was born on January 7, 1941, in the Village of Sidney, New York. He was one of seven "Brady Bunch" kids who had a lot of fun growing up together there in Sidney. Mike was the more quiet, introspective one seeking his own quiet, peaceful space in life. Yet, he had a big personality, a great sense of humor & could be so much fun! He also had a very tender heart & enjoyed helping those in need.

In 1959, immediately after high school graduation, Mike moved to Orlando FL & began his career at Martin Marietta Aerospace. He also began to further his education at Orlando Junior College & ultimately Rollins College while continuing to work full-time at Martin Marietta. Loving mathematics and majoring in Statistics, Mike graduated in May, 1965, with a Bachelor of General Studies and in May, 1967, with a Master of Commercial Sciences. He retired from Lockheed Martin in 1999 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Professional Staff in the Scientific Computational Operations Center (SCOC) - Electronics & Missiles. He was a well-liked boss of many.

Mike enjoyed country music, line dancing at the Cheyenne saloon (& the Barn, etc), LA Fitness, Olive Garden, Cracker Barrel, Outback, Sally's Diner, various pizza places, Lowe's, an occasional flea market, golf and tennis. He knew sign language and French, which he was occasionally able to use.

Since 1978, he enjoyed the new home he purchased in Longwood Florida. He enjoyed the solitude he created there. Beautifying his yard was a constant enjoyable endeavor, occasionally winning Yard of the Month recognition. He very much enjoyed all the birds, squirrels and raccoons frequenting his feeders and bird bath. The squirrels were named Squirrel 1, Squirrel 2, Squirrel 3……there were 5.

Mike is survived by sisters Sandra Mullinnex (Franklin NY), and Mickie (Nelson) Wilcox (Unadilla NY) and a brother Ronald Terebo (Otego NY). He is also survived by several nieces & nephews in New York plus his close friends Marsha & George Schmid, Longwood FL. Mike is predeceased by his parents, his brother Timothy, sisters Nancy Terebo & Janice Schrull, all of the Sidney NY area.

Compass Pointe Funeral & Cremation, Orlando, FL is handling arrangements.
