AFTON—Marilyn Mae Reynolds, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 20, 2022. Marilyn was born on May 11, 1957 in Sidney, daughter of the late Willard C. and Beverly (Shaver) Steele. She was a longtime employee of Keith Clark/At-A-Glance/Mead before her health declined. Marilyn was a gifted artist who enjoyed drawing, painting and even refinishing furniture. She loved wildlife and nature, particularly flowers and watching the birds. She also enjoyed taking trips to Tioga Downs Casino. She was married to Tracy Reynolds on April 17, 2004. In addition to her husband Tracy, Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Heather Hartley-Moore (Jeanette) and their daughter, Naava; three step-daughters: Rachael Geelan (Gregg), Amy Maurer (Daniel) and their children Seth and Emma; and Sheri Cilano (Marc) and their children Benjamin and Nicholas; two sisters: Jeannette Short (John) and Marcia Bargher (Ron); nephews and nieces: Nicholas Short, Patrick Bargher (Michaela), Carlee Bargher (Anna), Sonia Barager (Jason), Jeremy Petit (Jenna), Bambi Steele and Lacey Steele; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, grand-nieces and nephews, and dear friends, Skip and Linda Pickwick. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her sister, Gina Wood, brother, James Steele, and nephew, Miguel. A celebration of Marilyn's life will be held on Saturday, September 24th beginning at 2:00pm at the Sidney American Legion, 22 Union Street Sidney, NY 13838. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the charity of ones' choice or consider becoming an organ donor. Nearly 17 years ago, Marilyn received the gift of a kidney transplant from her sister, Jeannette, which greatly improved the quality and length of her life.
