Deborah Ann Wagner Deborah Ann Wagner, 65, of Sidney, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 13, 2020 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY. She has moved on into eternity only to leave behind the memories of her uniqueness, her differential attire, her bellowing laugh, and her fulfillment as a parent. Debbie, as she liked to be called, was born in Bloomington, Indiana on August 18, 1954 as the daughter of Bill and Cleta (Hensler) Wagner whom she is survived by as well as her siblings: sister, Connie (Terry) Friel and brother, Scott (Kathy) Wagner; of her home state of Indiana. Surviving are her son, Jason (Jeanie) Wagner and daughter, Lora (Tim) Valentine who were her world and loved by her ever so dearly. She also leaves behind two aunts, an uncle, three nieces, three nephews, many cousins; her four beloved granddaughters: Brittany, Monica, Dakota, Jade; and seven grandsons: Jordan, Damon, Derrick, Jacob, Tucker, Levi, and Chase, whom she always wished she could have seen more of. Finally, she is survived by her great friend, Terry, and her ex-husband of five years and friend for decades, Colin Kelly, whom she’ll cherish for taking in Jason as his own and creating their baby, Lora. She worked for 34 ½ years at At-A-Glance, formerly known as Keith Clark. She enjoyed doing respite work with the Harbour Program and Upstate Home for Children and Adults in the past. She also enjoyed her time spent working at Gateway Learning Center with a very special friend, Danny DeWitt, right out of high school in Franklin, IN. She enjoyed singing karaoke with her KSK friends who called her “Kia”, travelled the world with and will always be grateful to have spent time with and many, many laughs. She also enjoyed spending time within the past year on the Monday Morning Coffee and East Main Ladies bowling leagues. Debbie loved living in Sidney, NY although visiting her family in Franklin, IN meant a lot. Her son’s paternal family will always remain close to her heart, as will her daughter’s paternal family; both a joy to have known and been a part of. She loved listening to music, being on her computer, eating, finding new tie dye, dancing, all things colorful and bright, chimpanzees and monkeys, talking on the phone, playing with her animals, especially Boston terriers and pugs, looking at photos and writing poetry. She is happily reunited with her very special dog, Snooky, of thirteen years. To all those who have crossed her path putting a smile on her face and helping her in any way, she is eternally grateful! She also wishes that her license plate message “BE4PEACE” be carried out as open mindedly as possible to make for a better place for all walks of life. Friends may call on Saturday, July 18 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY. Due to COVID-19, masks will be required, and social distancing must be observed.
