Marcella (Anne) Drexler Unadilla Marcella (Anne) Drexler, 82, passed away peacefully at Chestnut Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Home on Thursday, November 6, 2014. She was born August 27, 1932 in Otego, the daughter of Seeley and Alta Stilson. She was married to George S. Drexler in 1951. He predeceased her in 1972. Anne worked for Amphenol in Sidney for 27 years before retiring. Anne is survived by her son, George S. II; daughter, Patricia; grandson, Travis and his fiancée Mindy; great grandchildren, Brianna and Logan; her loving sisters, Polly Bump of Otego and Thelma Martindale of Sidney, and many nieces, nephews and their children. Anne was a member of the Unadilla Legion Auxiliary for 64 years. Anne loved to knit and proudly knitted hundreds of helmet liners for the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Anne made sure that everyone read the many letters of thanks she received from the soldiers. Of course, most of the family got a homemade blanket. She also enjoyed an occasional trip to Turning Stone. Services for Anne will be held in the spring and will be announced at a later time. Memorial donations in her name may be directed to the Unadilla Fire Department, 77 Clifton Street, Unadilla, NY 13849. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
