Isabelle “Izzy” Caratelli
Bainbridge, NY

Isabelle “Izzy” Caratelli, 54, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018.  She was born on November 29, 1963 in New York City and grew up in Staten Island.  While in high school, her family moved upstate to Walton, where she graduated in 1981. 

Izzy worked at Delaware Valley Hospital in the billing department for many years before a decline in her health.

On October 22, 1994, she was married to Caspere “Casey” Caratelli in Walton. 

Izzy loved her family, traveling and her pets. 

She will be dearly missed by:  her husband, Casey Caratelli of Bainbridge; step-son, Anthony Caratelli of Greene; two beloved grandchildren, Gabriella and Ian Caratelli; sister, Marie and Edward Roenelt of NJ; two brothers, Michael and Sandra Benintende of FL and Charles and Mildred Benintende of DE; sister-in-law, Gina and William McManus of Afton; brother-in-law, Frank and Lori Caratelli of Afton; sister-in-law, Marienne Caratelli of Binghamton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Izzy was predeceased by her parents, Michael and Betty (Beardslee) Benintende, formerly of Walton, and her brother, Rev. Joseph Benintende, formerly of Oneonta.

Friends are invited to call from 1:00-3:00pm and 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, March 19, 2018 at C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St. Sidney, NY 13838.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, March 20 at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty St. Sidney.  Burial will take place at a later date in Saint Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Binghamton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Izzy’s memory may be directed to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.  Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
