Edward L. Wilson, Sr. Afton – Edward L. Wilson, Sr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, December 12th, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Wilson; daughters, Tammy (Roger) Muller of Afton, Lisa Wilson of Conklin; sons, Edward (Corinne) Wilson, Jr. and Steven (Lori) Wilson of Afton; grandchildren, Morgan, Michael, Cortney, Dylan, Kendal, Gordon, Tia and Jenna; great grandchildren, Grady and Delanie. Also surviving, sister, Nancy Michaud; brother, Chuck Wilson; sister-in-law, Christine Wilson and brother-in-law, Chuck Male and many nieces and nephews. Ed was predeceased by his parents, George and Dee; two brothers, Bob and George and brother-in-law, John Michaud. Whether it was racing snowmobiles in Northern Maine or racing modifieds, both on the asphalt track at the old Danbury Fairgrounds in Connecticut and the local dirt tracks where his car won many races and track championships, Ed loved racing! Ed was a lifetime logger and enjoyed building motors. He was an avid history buff and enjoyed trapshooting and turkey shoots, but his greatest joys in life were his grandchildren. Ed loved attending his grandchildren's activities and always took great pride in their accomplishments. Honoring Ed's wishes, there will be no services. The family would like to thank the Chenango Memorial Senior Living Center for their care and kindness to Ed during the last two months.
