Obituary of James A. Roberts

James Aloysius Roberts Sidney, NY James Aloysius Roberts, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1938, son of the late J. Henry and Mary Margaret (O'Brien) Roberts. He is survived by: his wife, L. Marie (Mimi) Roberts of Sidney; son, James A. (Jamie) Roberts and his wife, Jeana of Sidney; daughter, Aimee B. Roberts Andersen and her husband, Michael of Truxton, NY; granddaughter, Karleigh Roberts of Sidney; grandson, Michael Roberts of Maritime Academy, Massachusetts; two brothers, John H. and Natalie Roberts and William and Elaine Roberts; brother-in-law, Ben B. Hoskins and sister-in-law, Donna Roberts. He was predeceased by his brothers, Richard and Barbara Roberts and Gregory P. Roberts, and his sister, Mary Hoskins. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty Street Sidney, NY 13838. Burial will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Sidney Fire Department, 74 River St. Sidney. Condolences may be shared with the family online at www.landersfh.com.
