May E. Cummings Bainbridge, NY May E. Cummings 90, of Bainbridge passed away February 4, 2017 at Chenango Memorial Nursing Facility in Norwich. She was born May 13, 1926, daughter of the late June and Loretta (Brown) Howland in Walton. May is survived by her son, John (Sandy) Cummings, daughters Ruth MacDermott , Linda Palmatier and Jean (José) Garcia, daughter-in-law, Donna Palmatier, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. May also raised two foster girls, Gaydel and Shiela. May is also predeceased by her husband Sherl, son, Clifford, daughter, Rosemery and son-in-law, Douglas,two brothers, Harry and Herb Howland and a sister, Skeet Slade. May had a passion for dolls, old and new, and she had classes for ceramics for many years. She also loved the outdoors. The family would like to thank Chenango Memorial Nursing Home and Hospice of Chenango County for their compassionate care. Friends may call Thursday, February 9, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main Street, Sidney, NY 13838. Graveside services will be at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery in Bainbridge.
