Stephen L. Iacampo New Berlin—Stephen Louis Iacampo, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2016 due to an accident while working on his property. Steve was born on September 12, 1950, son of the late Louis and Corrine (LaPort) Iacampo in Providence, Rhode Island. In his younger years, Steve enjoyed playing ice hockey, which he continued to do well into adulthood. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved to hunt. He traveled to various destinations to hunt exotic animals, including caribou and wild boar. He also attended an annual bear hunt in Canada for the past few years. Steve was a Certified DEC Hunters Safety and Bow Instructor, which he was gifted at and loved to do. On September 6, 2003, Steve was married to Patricia (Beckmann) Roberts. He retired from Amphenol Corporate as a Worldwide Staffing Manager. In his retirement, he was fond of woodworking. Steve is survived by his wife, Patricia Iacampo; stepdaughter, Anna and Bradley Lathan and their son, Easton, and his two beloved dogs. In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by his daughter, Amy Iacampo. A memorial service will be held at 12:00noon on Friday, November 18, 2016 at the Columbus Community Church, 4311 St. Hwy 80 New Berlin, NY 13411. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the ASPCA or any local humane society. Condolences and memories may be shared online at www.landersfh.com. Arrangements are under the direction of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel, Sidney.
